A regional seminar, notably organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and the Francophone University Agency, will bring together more than 100 participants on November 10 and 11, 2014, at the Institut français of Kuwait to discuss the French language.

Business leaders, education officials and French teachers from the Gulf region (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen) will discuss, in the presence of international experts, the added value of the French language and how it complements Arabic and English in the business world. They will notably discuss issues relating to employment, digital networks, training and education.

This seminar will provide an opportunity to increase awareness of the new digital platforms for linguistic cooperation set up by the Institut français as well as the first “trilingual Arabic-French-English hotel industry quality label,” launched in Lebanon on the occasion of International Francophonie Day 2014.
