Madagascar - Political dialogue

France, like the International Support Group for Madagascar, calls on all parties to uphold the decision of the High Constitutional Court of Madagascar regarding the situation of the president of the Republic of Madagascar, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, which had been brought before it by the National Assembly on May 27, 2015. We also call on the parties to engage in a frank and constructive dialogue and to work on promoting a climate of calm and stability, in the best interests of the Madagascan people. France reaffirms its determination to support democracy and political stability in Madagascar.

Chad - Attacks in N'Djamena (June 15, 2015)

France condemns the attacks perpetrated on June 15 against the Office of the Commissioner-General and the police academy in N'Djamena, which killed several people. We extend our condolences to the victims’ families as well as to the Chadian authorities. The perpetrators of this attack must be brought to justice. France stands alongside Chad and its African partners in the fight against terrorism.
