Climate / Morocco – Visit by Annick Girardin (October 12 to 13, 2015)

Annick Girardin, Minister of State for Development and Francophony, will visit Rabat from October 12 to 13 in order to represent France at the international forum on identifying Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDC) to climate change action.

This event, organized by Morocco, which will chair COP22, the European Commission, the United Nations Development Program and the United Nations Environment Program, will provide an opportunity to take stock of the overall impact of INDCs on the fight against climate disruption and to encourage those who have not yet submitted their contribution to do so.

With less than 50 days left before the opening of COP21, 149 countries, accounting for 87% of carbon emissions, have already submitted their contributions.

Cameroon – Attacks (October 12, 2015)

France condemns the attacks perpetrated on October 11 in Kangaleri in northern Cameroon.

We extend our condolences to the victims’ families. The perpetrators of these acts must be brought to justice.

France assures the Cameroonian authorities and people of its solidarity in the fight against terrorism.
