Poland – Meeting between Jean-Marc Ayrault and his counterpart Witold Waszczykowski (Paris - June 3, 2016)

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Jean-Marc Ayrault met this afternoon with his Polish counterpart, Witold Waszczykowski, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting on the Middle East peace initiative.

They reviewed the expansion of our bilateral relationship in the context of the implementation of the French-Polish strategic partnership. They also discussed topics of current European and international importance.



Switzerland – Meeting between Jean-Marc Ayrault and his counterpart Didier Burkhalter (Paris - June 3, 2016)

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Jean-Marc Ayrault met this afternoon with his Swiss counterpart, Didier Burkhalter.

They addressed issues of current international and European importance as well as relations between the EU and Switzerland.

They also reviewed major topics pertaining to our bilateral relationship, including cross-border issues and the Basel-Mulhouse airport.



New Zealand – Meeting between Matthias Fekl and Todd McClay, minister of foreign trade and state-owned enterprises (Paris - June 3, 2016)

Today Matthias Fekl, minister of state for foreign trade, the promotion of tourism, and French nationals abroad, welcomed Todd McClay, New Zealand's minister of foreign trade and state-owned enterprises.

Following on the Prime Minister's visit to New Zealand on May 1-2, they reviewed the countries' bilateral economic relationship and discussed the prospects for starting negotiations on a free-trade agreement between the EU and New Zealand.



Costa Rica – Meeting between Matthias Fekl and Foreign Trade Minister Alexander Mora (Paris - June 3, 2016)

Today Matthias Fekl, minister of state for foreign trade, the promotion of tourism, and French nationals abroad, welcomed Costa Rica's foreign trade minister, Alexander Mora. Mr. Mora's visit coincides with the OECD's Ministerial Week and the Week of Latin America and the Caribbean in France.

Mr. Fekl assured Mr. Mora of France's support for Costa Rica's membership in the OECD. On the bilateral level, they stressed the need to diversify and strengthen our economic ties, particularly in the area of sustainable development. Also discussed was the opening, on November 2, of a direct Air France Paris-San José air link and the prospects for expanding cooperation on tourism.
