Sweden – Visit by Jean-Marc Ayrault (March 13, 2017)

Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, will visit Stockholm on March 13.

He will meet with his Swedish counterpart, Margot Wallstrom, to discuss current European and international issues, and in particular the situation in Syria and the Middle East peace process. Sweden is currently a member of the UN Security Council.

Jean-Marc Ayrault will also visit, together with Karin Wanngard, Mayor of Stockholm, the eco-district of Sjöstad Hammarby. He will take part in a round table with French economic players associated with the "Enhancing urban living" export family. Lastly, the minister will deliver a speech on the future of the EU to researchers at the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies (SIEPS) think tank.



Central African Republic – Death of a Senegalese peacekeeper (March 8, 2017)

Following the murder of a Senegalese peacekeeper in Bangui on March 8, France extends its condolences to the victim's family and would like full light to be shed on the incident.

France reaffirms its full support for the efforts of MINUSCA to stabilize the Central African Republic and protect the civilian populations.
