U.S. visit by French Environment Minister Ségolène Royal

The President of COP21 and Minister of the Environment, Energy, and Marine Affairs, was in Washington, D.C. for the “Our Ocean” conference on September 15-16, 2016.

On September 15-16, Environment Minister and COP21 President Ségolène Royal attended the 2016 Our Ocean Conference hosted by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. Political and business leaders, scientists, civil society representatives and others met at the State Department for two days to develop cooperative efforts to protect the ocean.

On September 16, Ms. Royal attended FACT-O, an event at the French Embassy featuring ocean conservationist and documentary filmmaker Fabien Cousteau, first grandson of Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
