Mr. Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, will meet with France’s ambassadors from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2, 2016. Discussions will focus on security, regions and Europe.

It will enable the ambassadors to exchange views, as well as to engage in discussions with elected officials, experts and representatives of civil society and the private sector.

The conference began this Monday, August 29, with a “speed dating” event, in the presence of the minister, involving meetings with representatives of SMEs. 425 companies had the opportunity to meet with ambassadors over the course of 1,585 business meetings. This edition follows on from last year’s event which proved a huge success with firms, especially SMEs, with 99% of them expressing satisfaction with this arrangement.

On Tuesday, August 30, the one-day event « Meet an ambassador » will provide the public with an opportunity to meet with ambassadors based all over the world to discuss their experiences and major foreign policy issues.
