Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Laurent Fabius to attend Major Economies Forum in Washington D.C. (April 19-20, 2015)

On April 19 and 20, Laurent Fabius will attend the Major Economies Forum – presided over by the United States – which brings together the countries that emit the greatest amount of greenhouse gases. Their work is intended to lay the groundwork for the 2015 Paris Climate Conference.

COP21 president Laurent Fabius will seek – together with the representatives of the world’s largest economies, the Peruvian COP20 president, and representatives of other countries invited to attend as observers – to bring the positions of the various sides closer together with respect to the major challenges in the current negotiations.

He will hold a press conference at the French Embassy on April 20.
