Saudi Arabia/death of Prince Saud al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud

I was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Prince Saud al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud, who, for nearly 40 years, was in charge of Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy and worked continuously for peace and stability in the Middle East.

Deeply committed to the Kingdom’s independence and sovereignty, Prince Faisal, whose high intellectual stature was recognized in the world, made his country’s voice heard and respected everywhere.

France has lost in him a tireless architect of Franco-Saudi friendship and cooperation.

At such a painful time, I assure his loved ones, the Saudi Royal Family, authorities and people of my deep sympathy./.
