COP21: Ambassador Araud meets U.S. Special Envoy Stern

On January 12, Ambassador of France in the United States Gérard Araud participated in a discussion with U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change Todd Stern on the implementation of the COP21 agreement signed in December in Paris. During this meeting, organized by the Washington office of the law firm Baker and McKenzie, Ambassador Araud presented Todd Stern with the gavel used by French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Laurent Fabius at the end of the conference on climate change in Paris. The COP21 concluded with a historic agreement showing the commitment of the international community in favor of the preservation of our planet for decades to come.
