YEi Start in France 2016: Meet the Laureates

8 companies have been chosen to participate in this year’s Young Enteprise Initiative Start in France Program.

YEi Start in France, started in 2005, is an accelerator designed to help entrepreneurs grow their business in France and Europe. It provides an intensive training in Boston and Paris and one week immersion in France that will allow laureates to benefit from of an extensive customized business network and connections to the best resources in Europe.

The 2016 laureates

FlameOff Coatings, Inc – Raleigh, NC: Meet fire ratings on building materials in the construction industry with a passive intumescent paint.

FlyInside LLC – Framingham, MA: FlyInside LLC develops civilian and military flight simulation solutions with virtual reality (VR) for aviation enthusiasts, aerospace manufacturers and the airline industry.

InhiProt – West Lebanon, NH: InhiProt is a start-up biotech company that aims to develop novel treatments for multiple myeloma, an incurable cancer of bone marrow.

ImMage Biotherapeutics Corp – Bethesda, MD: ImMAGE Biotherapeutics Corp. develops the first universal Immunotherapy to treat patients with an aggressive form of breast cancer called Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). ImMage targets specific proteins called MAGE A on cancer cells using its SMART Plasmid DNATM Technology.

Innoblative Designs, Inc – Chicago, IL: Innoblative Designs, Inc. is a medical device company dedicated to commercializing electrosurgical devices that allow surgeons to destroy residual cancer that remains after the removal of a tumor.

Kynplex, Inc – Cambridge, MA: Kynplex connects hubs of innovation that are siloed by geographic region or research field, making it easy to share scientific information and form connections.

Luminopia – Boston, MA: Luminopia develops a virtual reality medical software for the treatment of lazy eye that is fully functional and ready for testing.

Wobble Tech LLC – Atlanta, GA: The Wobble is the only cost-effective, portable, user-friendly dynamic balance assessment. The Wobble is a steel platform that translates in random motions, testing the reactive balance of a subject.

What do We Offer?

All US-based companies selected to participate in the YEi Start in France 2016 will benefit from mentoring and networking programs in the U.S., to help them study the feasibility of setting up their venture in France, the gateway to Europe.

The high point of YEi Start in France 2016 is a one-week immersion stay in France including training, personalized connections, and mentoring. This immersion week will be split between the Paris area and one other French region whose innovative ecosystem best fits the needs of each laureate.
