Central African Republic
France supports the actions by the Economic Community of Central African States and the African Union to stabilize the CAR and bring a definitive end to the crisis. It applauds the deployment of the International Support Mission in the Central African Republic (AFISM-CAR). It is strongly committed, within the UN Security Council and the European Union, to strengthening international mobilization.
In view of the deteriorating humanitarian situation, France has also unblocked emergency aid as well as €2 million in food aid. This assistance is in addition to the EU’s humanitarian contribution of €20 million.
