Venezuela – Dialogue process
France supports the efforts of the high-level commission of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), which traveled to Venezuela in order to support the dialogue process under way.
We hope that this initiative will lead to a calm and constructive dialogue between all parties concerned. It should make it possible to put an end to the violence and to ease tensions, while ensuring respect for human rights and democratic principles, notably the freedom of expression and the right to demonstrate peacefully.
