Egypt – Attacks in Cairo (February 26, 2015)

France condemns the attacks that killed one person today in Cairo.

We extend our condolences to the victim’s family and assure the injured of our sympathy.

France reaffirms its solidarity with the Egyptian authorities and people in the fight against terrorism.

Israel/ Palestinian Territories – Vandalism of religious buildings

France condemns the unacceptable acts of vandalism targeted yesterday against a mosque in a village near Bethlehem and last night against a building belonging to the Greek Orthodox Church in Jerusalem.

France expresses its wholehearted solidarity with the affected communities.

It demands that full light be shed on the circumstances surrounding these acts so that they do not go unpunished.

International Criminal Court

The current chairman of the African Union, Robert Mugabe, said that the next AU summit would debate the withdrawal of African countries from the ICC. What’s your response?

France’s position is constant: We are committed to the fight against impunity everywhere and support the International Criminal Court.

The full cooperation of all states with the ICC is essential in order to allow it to try, in an independent manner, those who have committed the most serious crimes that shock the conscience of humanity.
