This €10,000 grant, which pays tribute to the memory of Denis Pietton, a diplomat and former President of the Institut franÁais, will recognize, every year, the commitment of a young civil society stakeholder from the Arab world who has distinguished himself/herself under the SafirLab program. This program is open to "future leaders" from nine North African and Middle East countries.

The winner of the first Denis Pietton Award, Arbi Chouikh, is a young Tunisian who launched a digital platform project aimed at helping people with disabilities determine the level of accessibility of locations they need to go to.

Israel – Palestinian Territories

On November 13, an Israeli ministerial committee approved a bill to legalize outposts in the Palestinian Territories built without government permission. Do you have any response?

This bill, if adopted, would be another attack on the two-State solution and would further aggravate tensions on the ground. It is raising serious concerns in France.

France reiterates that settlement activities, in all their forms, are illegal under international law. We call on Israel to abide by its international obligations.
