This meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the crisis in Ukraine, reviving the conventional arms control regime and rebuilding political-military trust in Europe.

Jean-Marc Ayrault will confirm the importance we attach to the OSCE's action on the ground, notably in Ukraine and to the fight against transnational threats, especially the fight against terrorism. He will also reaffirm the importance of the OSCE's human dimension.

On this occasion, Jean-Marc Ayrault will meet with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, notably to discuss the situation in Syria and Ukraine.

In Copenhagen, he will meet with his new Danish counterpart, Anders Samuelsen, and with the Danish economic and cultural community. He will visit the site of the February 14, 2015, attack and will pay tribute to the victims, alongside Ambassador Zimeray who was there at the time of the shooting.

Jean-Marc Ayrault will then visit Helsinki, where he will be received by President Sauli Niinistö, and by his counterpart, Timo Soini. This visit will notably provide an opportunity to take stock of current European issues, ahead of the European Council on December 15, and in particular the Common Security and Defense Policy and relations with Russia.
