Nathalie Loiseau, Minister for European Affairs, is meeting today with Ditmir Bushati, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania.

The ministers will take stock of our bilateral relations and in particular our determination to reform our cooperation in the area of combating illegal immigration; the ministers of the interior are currently working together on this issue.

France would like to continue to support the implementation of the reforms needed for Albania to progress toward rapprochement with the European Union. France and Albania signed a strategic cooperation partnership on March 28 during Prime Minister Rama's visit to Paris.
