International trade – Trade Policy Follow-Up Committee (Paris - March 6, 2018)

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will convene the Trade Policy Follow-Up Committee for the third time on March 6. This forum brings together parliamentarians, professional associations, unions and NGOs engaged in monitoring issues related to international trade agreements.

This meeting will provide an opportunity for in-depth discussions on the defense and promotion of French economic interests.

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne will notably report on the discussions under way at the European level, in a context marked by the measures announced by the United States on steel and aluminum.

He will also take stock of ongoing negotiations, notably with Mercosur, as well as the action plan adopted by the government on October 25, 2017, in the context of the implementation of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). A follow-up table for the action plan is available on the France Diplomatie website:
