Costa Rica – Meeting between Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and Rodolfo Piza Rocafort, Minister of the Presidency (Costa Rica - March 13, 2019)

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State attached to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is meeting today with Rodolfo Piza Rocafort, Minister of the Presidency of Costa Rica.

The two ministers will discuss the fight against climate disruption and environmental protection, two issues on which France and Costa Rica maintain very close cooperation. They will notably discuss the negotiation process underway within the United Nations on establishing a Global Pact for the Environment.

They will also take stock of our bilateral cooperation, notably with respect to academic exchanges, in the scientific field through the cooperation project between the Pasteur Institute and Costa Rica's Tropical Diseases Research Center, as well as in the economic sphere.

This meeting will also provide an opportunity for an exchange of views on regional issues, notably the situation in Venezuela.



Paraguay – Meeting between Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and Liz Cramer, Minister for Industry and Commerce of Paraguay (March 13, 2019)

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State attached to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, met with Liz Cramer, Minister for Industry and Commerce of Paraguay, during her visit to France at the head of a delegation of companies.

The ministers discussed cooperation opportunities for French firms in Paraguay as well as the regional market.

The Support to Economic Diversification Project (PADE), launched by MEDEF International in Paraguay in collaboration with the World Bank and the Paraguayan Industrial Union, is aimed at fostering the development of sustainable economic activities that create employment and represents an opportunity to strengthen ties between France and Paraguay and develop cooperation between our firms.
