Yemen – Murder of Nabil al-Quaety (June 5, 2020)
France condemns the murder of Nabil al-Quaety, a Yemeni video journalist killed in Aden on June 2.
While press freedom and the safety of journalists are increasingly under attack, France reaffirms the need to protect them throughout the Yemeni territory.
France reaffirms its attachment to press freedom and to the safety of journalists and all those who contribute to public debate throughout the world. It intends to resolutely continue its efforts to protect journalists and pays tribute to the journalists killed, tortured, detained or threatened as a result of their commitment to the right to reliable and independent information.
