The discussion focused mainly on the preparation for the upcoming G20 Summit in Pittsburgh. The two Heads of State reaffirmed their willingness to fully implement the decisions made in London. They agreed to work closely together to ensure that the Pittsburgh meeting would be successful and that it would allow new decisions to be made in order to guarantee sustainable and balanced growth, strengthen the international financial system, and reform and improve the effectiveness of the international financial institutions.
The two presidents also addressed the Iranian issue and the resumption of the peace process in the Middle East.
