
French Companies in the U.S.
The French Trade Commission, UBIFRANCE, assists French companies searching for potential partners in the United States. As one of the top five foreign investors to the United States, France’s commercial dealings with the United States form a central component of bilateral relations. Over 4,600 French companies conduct business in the U.S., providing over 650,000 American jobs. In 2012, almost 200 new investment projects were created in the U.S. by French companies. The same year, French exports to the U.S. grew by 12.8 percent across all sectors, nearly double the exports from 2011.
With 4,000 members and 19 regional chapters, the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) strongly supports and promotes trade and investment between the United States and France. Click here for more information about the FACC in the Washington area.
The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is another example of the strong commercial relationship between France and the United States. The international agreement, currently under discussion, would better support foreign businesses, streamline regulatory structures, boost trade activity, and stimulate foreign direct investment (FDI) for both nations.
With 19 FACC Chapters & Associates and 4000 members, the French-American Chamber of Commerce is the most important private organization of its kind. The FACC promotes trade and investment between the United States and France.
