Paris, August 29, 2011
The French Embassy in Tripoli has reopened today.
A diplomatic team led by Pierre Seillan, a deputy of Antoine Sivan, France’s representative in Benghazi, arrived in the Libyan capital this morning and immediately moved into the Embassy’s premises.
This team is tasked with reactivating our operations and establishing France’s presence in the Libyan capital.
France’s Special Representative to the NTC [National Transitional Council], Antoine Sivan, will take up his post in Tripoli once the NTC’s top authorities have, in turn, returned to the Libyan capital./.
