US PhD students: apply now for the Chateaubriand Fellowship
Online applications for the 2012-2013 Chateaubriand Fellowship, a grant offered by the Embassy of France to the United States, have just opened. As every year, outstanding doctoral students enrolled in American universities will have the opportunity to conduct up to 10 months of research in France.
The French government offers the Chateaubriand recipients a stipend, a round-trip ticket and health insurance. This highly-selective grant divides into thematic programs:
The STEM Chateaubriand Fellowship is dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics students. It is offered by the Office for Science and Technology of the Embassy of France in the United States.
The HSS Chateaubriand Fellowship aims at doctoral students engaged in any humanities and social sciences discipline. It is offered by the Cultural Services of the Embassy of France in the United States.
The deadline for the online application is December, 31st 2011 for HSS applicants, and February, 1rst, for STEM applicants.
