The Department of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Energy and Transportation (ESDET) represents the Ministry for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition and the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion. It is responsible for developing cooperation and information-sharing between the French and American authorities in the domains of climate change, biodiversity, energy, technology, transportation—whether aerial, maritime or land-based—town planning and housing. Its mission is to participate in diplomatic initiatives, follow American legislative and regulatory developments in these sectors and to develop relationships with the NGOs and Think Tanks, at both federal and state levels.
