Ladies and gentlemen,
Under the President’s chairmanship, we held a Defence Council meeting.
The President spoke yesterday about the situation created by the chemical massacre the [Syrian] regime is behind.
We analysed the situation, the different theories, at diplomatic level of course and at defence level, and as you know, Parliament will meet next Wednesday, as is proper. The outrage is very understandable and legitimate, of course, and at the same time reflexion is necessary.
We’re going to continue following the situation very closely, hour by hour; a lot of international contacts have been made, and when the time comes the President will take the decisions that are required./.
