Communiqué from the Elysée Palace

Paris, November 24, 2013

President Hollande welcomes the conclusion of negotiations in Geneva on the Iranian nuclear program. The agreement that was reached respects France’s demands on uranium stockpiles and enrichment, the suspension of new facilities, and international monitoring.

It represents a new step toward ending Iran’s military nuclear program, and thus toward normalizing our relations with Iran. France will continue to mobilize its efforts to achieve a final agreement on this issue. The interim agreement adopted last night is an important step in the right direction.
