France welcomes the South Sudanese parties’ pledge to begin dialogue in Addis Ababa.
It is essential for the parties to discuss an agreement to end hostilities so that the situation is stabilized, humanitarian access is assured and positive political momentum is established.
France expresses its support for the diplomatic efforts of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development, a regional organization in the Horn of Africa, which have made this advance possible. It calls on the South Sudanese parties to honour their pledge without delay./.
