Paris, March 21, 2014

On the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, declared by the UN in 1966 to commemorate 21 March 1960 and the massacre in Sharpeville, South Africa, of 69 people demonstrating peacefully against the apartheid laws, the French President reaffirms the steadfast determination of France, the home of human rights, to combat all forms of racism, anti-Semitism and discrimination and all attacks on human dignity./.
