Ambassador Araud to host a 150- representative delegation from the ADL (May 4, 2015)
On May 4, Ambassador Gérard Araud will welcome a delegation of nearly 150 members from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) at the Embassy of France in Washington D.C. The National Director of the ADL, Abraham Foxman, will lead a delegation of members from all over the United States.
This is another occasion for Ambassador Gérard Araud to pursue the dialogue with the American-Jewish organizations, as he has done so since his arrival in Washington D.C. in September 2014 and when he is on travel around the country, most recently in Chicago and Los Angeles.
Ambassador Araud will seize this occasion to reaffirm France’s commitment to fight against anti-Semitism and all forms of racism and discrimination. He will talk about the decisions French authorities have taken following the recent terrorist attacks that occurred in France last January.
The delegation will be joined by Mr Roger Cukierman, President of the Representative Council of French-Jewish Institutions (CRIF), who has spoken recently about the strong mobilization of France against anti-Semitic acts. The delegation is in Washington for the ADL National Summit (May 3 to 5) to meet with senior U.S. and international representatives.
