Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf/Libya
Riyadh, May 5, 2015
The heads of state of the CCASG and the French Republic discussed measures likely to restore regional stability, and they call on the international community to:
show its concern about the upsurge in acts of violence and terrorism which threaten Libya’s security, stability and unity, by confirming support for the legitimate elected parliament, by supporting the efforts of Mr Bernardino León, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative [for Libya], to restart the comprehensive national dialogue between all segments of the Libyan people and by calling on all factions of the Libyan people to shoulder their national responsibilities and conclude without delay an agreement establishing a national unity government in that framework.
