Mali/telephone conversation between M. François Hollande, President of the Republic, and his Malian counterpart
Paris, June 29, 2015
The French President had a telephone conversation with Mr Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, President of Mali.
He warmly congratulated him following the recent signature in Bamako of the Agreement on Peace and Reconciliation in Mali. The agreement, which is fair and balanced, should make it possible to guarantee the country’s unity, the Malian state’s deployment throughout its territory and reconciliation between all Malians.
The Head of State assured his Malian counterpart of France’s support for the implementation of the agreement in its different dimensions, be they defence and security, socio-economic and cultural development, reconciliation or the decentralized organization of the state.
François Hollande and Ibrahim Boubacar Keita agreed to pursue anti-terrorist cooperation between France and Mali, which has enabled significant results to be obtained since 2013./.
