I utterly condemn the Damascus regime’s bombardment of the main market in the town of Douma, in the suburbs of the Syrian capital. The provisional toll is tragic, with nearly 100 people dead and hundreds injured, including women and children.
This barbaric act once again demonstrates the inhumanity of a regime that does not hesitate to massacre its own people.
Only a political solution based on the Geneva communiqué will get Syria out of the crisis./.
