I LOVE FRANCE!!!! France has been a door to égalité fraternité and liberté for so many immigrants seeking refuge from prosecution of their birth places. As a black American, I know well the history of France opening its arms giving many of my ancestors the true meaning of liberty and equality at a time when it was not available in the United States. I am fortunate in that I have been able visit France countless times and treasure my French friends.

Stay safe. I simply cannot imagine what the attack was like. Paris and France are in my thoughts. We’re with you, and together, we can make it through this. Vive la France!
Mes condolèances sont avec vous.
To all my French Friends,
Words cannot explain the sadness that I and HGI Technologies felt over the events that happened in Paris on Friday. Our sympathy and hearts go out to all of our French friends. As a native New Yorker I understand what you are going through, as I experienced a similar event 14 years ago when we were also the victim of a horrific act in Lower Manhattan on September 11th.
Of all the places that I have been to in my live I have to say, without hesitation, my favorite has been "the City of Light". My wife and I spent two weeks there about 10 years ago. We loved the lifestyle, food and the people and have always planned on returning.
I have not shared this story with many of you, but at the turn of the last century my Grandfather, who was a young Armenian man, immigrated to France after his family was massacred by the Turkish subjects of the Ottoman Empire. He served with distinction as a doctor in the French Army and became a French citizen. He eventually moved with his family to the States and settled in NYC. I will always feel a kinship with the French people, without whose help my Grandfather may never have survived and I may never have been born......
So with pride and affection I loudly proclaim to you, my friends - Vive la France!!!!
Our hearts go out to you as you move forward from this tragedy and as you bravely show the world that French culture and life continues and will not be stopped.
I send you my thoughts and prayers first, condolences for the loss of innocent people; for strength and courage to continue. Your country stood with our ancestors to create our country which none of us will ever forget so, we always stand proudly with you! We love and admire the courage you continue to display and your determination to return to your way of life which we from time to time are blessed to share with you—we stand with you!
I know your city will heal quickly. But we will never forget.

after a rainy day, there a beautiful rainbow
Once I lived in England, my father served in the United States Air Force, and with that I traveled to France on a regular basis; mostly visiting Paris. I enjoyed fresh baguettes and cheese with bubbly lemonade, such nostalgia. While there, many people were thankful of my father’s service and how they were honored to have American families come and visit. Many people don’t understand the historical connection between France and America, I mean after all they were our first ever allies in 1778. I will never forget that night I stayed at the Officers quarters in Paris, with an amazing sight of the EIffel Tower lit in the twilight. My father came out to the narrow porch and stared at the metallic behemoth. That night, he taught me that on September 11th, 2001, France was grieving for our loss, and rallied up beside us. Now, with November 13th as a new battle cry, the United States will stand beside our sister of Liberty. You stood with us, now we stand with you.
United We Stand, Divided We Fall.

Dear Paris- sorry for the loss, we will be with you mentally and spiritually!
Pray for Paris
A tragedy, the attacks on Paris. Times like these make me wonder why terrorists do what they do. I ask why how can killing people promote peace for them? How can destroying the prosperity of others bring about their own?
My hope is that you know we stand with you against terrorism and in support of the damage it has caused you. Obama stated in his response to these horrific events, "We have gone through these kinds of episodes ourselves. And whenever these kinds of attacks happened, we have always been able to count on the French people to stand with us." (The White House). We not only pray but keep you in our thoughts as the world responds to these attacks.
Thank you for standing strong for freedom
I am very sorry for your loss. It must be horrible to lose a family member or loved one in a place you call your home. A place that not long ago was safe. Not many know what you are going through; living in fear. Stay strong and do not give up. Be careful in your actions. The world mourns for your loss and we will stick with you to the end. Have hope.
My heart and prayers go out to all of the families and to the country of France. GOD be with you.
The events that took place in Paris this past weekend is a really tragic time. The innocent lives that were taken on that very day should not have been taken. what these terrorists do is totally unacceptable and the whole world should contribute in a way that stops all this menace. I’m sorry about your losses and people. i hope that this never happens again and even if it does, it won’t be as big as this. Once again sorry for your losses and i hope France can once again be a thriving country in Europe.

What happened in Paris deeply saddened me, I’m thankful that my 23 year old cousin that lives there was ok, she was near the Bataclan Concert Hall when the terrorist began shooting people inside of it. I hope everyone in your beautiful city rises and stands together in this time of crisis. Everything is going to be alright,
I am deeply sorry for what happened to Paris this past weekend. It is terrible that people would attack innocent people who did nothing to provoke an attack, and I completely support the country of France. The whole world should try to keep peace, but peace may never happen again. Once again, I mourn for the people of France and the people who died that tragic day.
I would like to send condolences to the people of Paris and to all of the people affected by the tragedy that took place is Paris a few days ago. It is very tragic and I hope for all the ones injured to recover safely and quickly. I hope you continue strongly as a country, and continue being a beautiful country.

Hey, I’m a kid from America and just that word "kid" has made it seem that i don’t understand what has happened the past couple weeks, and I don’t. I’m fourteen! All I can do is pray to my God and trust that I’m heard. I’ve wrote #prayforparis on everything hoping someone will read it and it makes a difference, and one day I hope the intolerable people who did this will know the justice of they’re actions.

I am very sorry this tragedy occurred but I wanted to tell you that you are not alone. Everyone in America and probably the whole world is praying for you and your families. May your loved ones that you lost rest in peace. I assure you the police will find those who are responsible and punish them deservingly. I’m sad this is why I am writing you this message ,but just remember, " She is tossed by the waves but does not sink." I wish you for happy days and just know the worst is over.
Ever since the attacks happened, I have been praying for everyone. I pray for the families who lost someone, the injured and the people who are too scared to go outside. I’m sorry this happened and it was stupid for the terrorists to do that. Our countries have been allies for a really long time. You have always had our back and we will always have yours. I know this is tough, but you will make through it and there is no doubt about it.
My prayers and thoughts go out to the people of France. Stay strong. "Elle est agitée par les vagues, et ne sombre pas"

The attacks on Paris stuck home... my sister, brother-in-law, my only niece and two nephews are Parisian Citizens... These attacks happen within the blocks of their home... My heart stopped and my eyes swelled with tears. Even now, as I write this message I find myself overwhelmed with emotion. We were some of the fortunate, my family, extended family and friends of Frances where not physically harmed during the attacks. Nevertheless, it still broke my heart reading the stories of such wonderful individuals whose lives were lost. I was overcome with grief and a deep sadness watching BBC and reading the tweets as the timeline of the horrific events unfolded. I am horrified, in disbelief and still I find myself reeling from the events seven days ago… It is hard to imagine how this will not forever leave a lasting impact on France. But I know that even still, FRANCE IS STRONGER THAN THE MONSTERS! I stand, my Family STANDS with and behind France! Lots of LOVE PARIS... you hold my hearts... Paul Barron, Danielle K. Perry-Barron, Asher Barron, AnaHera Barron and Avery Barron.
I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of so many healthy Parisian in relaxed and entertaining situations losing their lives in senseless circumstances. I have been moved by the coming together of first the Parisians and the outreach of all citizens around the world. May our togetherness in our Lord’s name continue to bless all of us during this difficult time of sadness. Keep in mind as a citizen of one historical city to another tragedy may slow our steps but it will never stop our forward progress.

Please - I wish to express my condolences to the people of France after this terrible tragedy.
I’m sorry that your city experienced such an atrocious act of hatred, violence, and utter chaos. It’s a shame that we live in a society where people take their anger and frustrations out on the masses; using violence as a means to get their point across, versus verbal communication, diplomacy, and patience. These acts of violence must cease across our globe if we are to maintain some degree of civility and order. Sorry for your loss. Stand strong and God bless.

Dear Government and People of France, Your shock and hurt, and strong response to these horrible assaults on your people are totally appropriate.
France is a wonderful country with wonderful people. Yours is the admirable history of republics growing ever more democratic and egalitarian with the passage of history. Yours is a BEAUTIFUL flag and long may it wave over a free France!
Thank you for being the oldest ally of America. Had France not helped us in our Revolutionary War,
I likely would not be writing to you as an American citizen. I wish you all healing, peace and security.
We are deeply sorry, and mourn the terrible loss of life in your country. We have family in Paris, and, because of 9/11 as well, we can very much feel the shock, anger, and sadness that comes from an event like this. Living in Washington, D.C.,
we worry that it can happen here as well. We pray for very strong U.S. efforts to work with you to combat ISIS, and allow us all to live with Liberty and Freedom in the World.

So, be strong, be courageous, and be safe. We are with you, and that is how we sill stay, right by your side.

|My deepest sympathies sent to Paris and all the people of France! We stand united with you all during this time of turmoil and believe that you all will be strengthened! |Our deepest sympathy to the people of France in this dark hour. From a WWII Veteran who defended our joint freedom in the Vosges Mountains of Alsace-Lorraine and from his daughter. Having had the occasion to visit Paris and Normandy in peace time, we admire you and sincerely wish you freedom from fear and safety on your streets.|
vous êtes fort, vous n’êtes pas seul.
It is with deep sadness that I write this letter. I am sad because so many people did not come home in Paris on the evening of Friday, November 13. I am sad because an entire generation of young people will have this memory in their lives for ever. I am sad that we cannot seem to live at peace at any time in history. There is always a war somewhere. But I have hope for a peaceful world, where we love the planet and preserve it, and we love and respect each other - different or not. For every evil and deranged criminal there are thousands of good people who live without fear. I will do all I can to bring the light into the places that are dark. Peace,
I offer my sincere condolences to the people of France. I sincerely hope that justice will be served to those who brought tragedy and terror upon your country. Ma mère est née et a grandi en France. Je dois toujours de la famille là-bas. Je suis allé plusieurs fois et se sentir comme si elle est ma deuxième maison. Mon cœur souffre pour la France. Bon Courage et Vive La France!

My uncle that was in the first wave of the invasion of Normandy passed away last week at the age of 95 knowing that French freedom is the freedom of all. I praise your pride and this American will come to your aid immediately upon request.|

First, let me extend my condolences to you and your people for the horrible attack that you suffered. Just as you stood by us on 9/11, I am certain that all Americans will stand by you. As I live in Vietnam now I have not heard much about it other than I know it was a horrible and tragic event.
I am very pleased to hear that you are strongly going after IS and my prayers go out to you, especially to your military. I pray and hope that our countries and all the other countries involved destroy that organization as soon as possible with minimal loss of life to all.

as you have stood by the U S , we shall stand by you! together we will wipe off the face of the earth these fanatics.
I want to express my deepest sorrow and sympathy to the French people and especially to the families of the victims of that tragically sad attack last week in Paris. France is one of the main roots of Western liberal democracy and has been a major influence in shaping the modern world.
The very moving demonstrations of solidarity across France, Europe, and the world are proof enough of this. Having myself taught in France in the recent past ( Lyon, Lille, Grenoble, Nice) about the need to see the world not in transactional but in transformational and relationship ways insofar as how we interact with other people and do business among nations, it is imperative not only for France but for the entire Western world to move away from the old paradigm of seeing strategy in business and in politics as an act of war (hegemony/power) to seeing strategy as an act of bonding (LOVE) and transformational leadership with other nations/citizens to finally fulfill our shared destiny in this precious planet by the fact that we are all breathing the same air and we all cherish peace, dignity and prosperity.
I recently returned fom my third trip to Paris and I just wanted to send my sincere best wishes to the French people
The latest terror stack probes to me that we are dealing with many of the same serious problems
To the people of France. My family and I send our deepest condolences for the tragic loss your nation has suffered. We pray for all the people, and pray especially for the mourners that lost loved ones and friends in this attach.
Undoubtedly you are aware of the millions upon millions of people in America that have shown their support for France through social media. We as a nation are with you, in our thoughts, and pray for healing.
God bless the people of France.
Our thought and prayers are with the French people.
Viva La France!
I feel so sorry for all the victims of the terror attacks in Paris.
This is just a note to say that France is truly a wonderful Country
and all the citizens are in my prayers to Jesus Christ the Savior.
I hope to visit someday and see all the wonderful art and museums.
I would like to express my deepest sympathy and support to your nation. As a father and husband I can only imagine the grief you and your countryman feel. I only hope that my nation stands besides France to rid this world of these animals.
We Americans are shocked, saddened, and angered by the heinous act of terror against your innocent citizens. United by the Power & Love that God Maintains in all human beings who try to be benevolent to each other for Him & for His Will, WE ARE ALL FRENCHMEN, united with you in prayer and, if necessary, in battle.
Keep strong... peace to you & yours.
I am proud to be a son of France and am appalled at the terror attack in Paris. I am also proud of France’s response. A country’s greatness is always shown in the way it handles adversity and the French people are exhibiting such greatness in the wake of the attack. Let us all mourn the dead, care for the wounded and resolve to root out the evil that is ISIS. Vive La France!!!
We appreciate your courage in dealing with Isis. It needs to be done. You are a big help right now.
To the president francois hollande and the people of france.

Viva la France .
Lafayette we are with you
I just want to express my deepest sympathy for the French people. My thoughts and prayers are with them. The courage, strength and unity of the country has touched my heart. To witness how all of this has been handled by the French has made me think about visiting some day.
Again, I’m so sorry for what your country is going through.
We are still with you. God bless France. We as the people of the U.S. back you.
To the proud and good people of France,
You gave us the Statue of Liberty, helped our ancestors win their freedom in 1783 and you remain the devout caretakers of our American war dead in pristine cemeteries across your great nation.
I can’t speak for all of my countrymen, but my family stands by the French and we offer our condolences to the families who lost loved ones in another inane act of terrorism in your country.
What fanatics did was solidify the bonds between free nations and brought worldwide condemnation from all of us. Each terrorist act brings us all together and it accomplishes nothing except to continue a war without end.
There will be blood, but it will ebb from the veins of terrorists whose misguided beliefs and nefarious ways continue to unite those who believe in the greater good.
War is like a street fight — somebody’s not getting up, and our survival depends our decisive actions.
The fanatic doesn’t doesn’t understand an open and free society, which fosters ideas, ideals and the advancement of its people. France and its open-minded people have always enjoyed the fine arts and their culinary delights have been the talk of Europe.
Flip through the pages of history and there are centuries of proof that terrorizing a civilian population will bring only doom upon the perpetrators of violence.
The French fought against Hitler, whose V-2 rockets terrorized London. But all those missiles did was strengthen the resolve of the British as they huddled in underground subway tunnels. The French Underground was responsible for numerous historic acts of bravery during the D-Day invasion of France in 1944.
In World War I, the Germans used giant artillery pieces such the Paris Gun to instill fear in the French population. It is obviously those massive guns failed after the Allies won the war in 1918.
When the World Trade Towers fell on Sept. 11, 2001 in the United States, France supported us and the Canadiens allowed American passenger planes to land after the United States ordered all civilian aircraft to stand down. The Holocaust united the Jewish people and Israel was born in 1948. America was the first to recognize this new nation.
Grand ideas like our U.S. constitution, which includes the phrase: “All men are created equal,” inspired a new nation. Nobody ever wrote a sentence like that in the history of mankind. That one bold stroke of a pen set the bar for all humanity, started our Civil War that put an end to slavery and sparked the civil rights movement in this country 100 years later. Gays can no longer be discriminated and are allowed to marry without retribution or harrassment thanks to our just laws.
The terrorist, with their warped views and unjust laws, will never comprehend a free state, but they know we will never back down or retreat.
So no matter what these bastards do, liberty and the greater good will prevail. But if we allow paranoia and hatred to seize us, these miscreants will have the upper hand.
At this moment, our skyscrapers are displaying the colors of the French flag and an unscheduled rendition of your country’s national anthem was performed at the New York Metropolitan Opera.
We feel your pain, but you are not alone.
The news about the death of so many people in Paris was a shock to me.
I really do not know how to comfort you. There are no words that can describe what happened.
My thoughts are with France. Keep your spirits up.
The relations between our countries and people goes back a very long time. For that reason and a million, million more I offer my support, admiration and friendship to the People of France, in this your time of need and healing.
Vive la France
I am of French huegenot heritage and feel a great deal of love for France. I would like to express to the people of Paris my sincerest sympathy and compassion for the pain they have suffered at the hands of the terrorists.
Je suis Paris. As a sign of support I am flying the tricolor from my balcony
To the people of France,
My sincere condolences to you in connection with the terrible attacks in Paris on Friday, November 13. I have great admiration for France and her culture and people. The rich traditions and cultural achievements are a magnificent gift to us all. My heartfelt wishes for peace and healing to all the people of France.
I just wanted to express my outrage at the slayings in Paris. As a Muslim and lover of peace and friendship, I am appalled and so are many others around the world by the hatred shown to the innocent victims of this tragedy. We and all good people stand with Parisians, the city of Paris, and the people of France. My heart goes out to the family and friends in their time of loss. "Vive la France!"
America’s lawyers are shocked and deeply saddened by the recent horrific attacks in Paris. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of those who perished and to those who were injured. May our shared commitment to democracy, equality, and fraternity—rooted in justice and the rule of law—enable stable societies to prevail.
Praying for Wisdom from God, for France. I am standing with you and praying for all the families of those who died, and those who are wounded, AND for the Peace & Strength to move forward to a solution that will cease these attacks in any country or State. It’s a very sad world at this time. God is our source & strength needed, to avert any other attacks.
I heard one of your French Citizens talking to Anderson Cooper and Anderson said Paris is on its knees. The young man responded yes, but we will
I feel that’s says it all and should be the rally call of the French People.
VIVA LA FRANCE
I just want to send my well wishes to your country and applaud you all for your courage and determination to maintain your freedom. We don’t give in!
I studied French for more than 7 years and I have loved your country for a lifetime!
Vive la France!
So sorry for your loss!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your fight. My family and I visited Paris in October and fell in love with your people and your city. My father fought in World War Two, and was impressed the stand your country made against nazi occupation. Please know the outrage me my friends felt from the attack on your city. We here in blue ridge va stand with once again as our fathers and grandfathers did. I hope to visit your wonderful city soon. We must not let terrorist dictate how we live our lives.
Viva la France
Des citoyens Americaines aux notres amis Francais:
Vive la France.
My deepest condolences.
I am with you.
an angry U.S. citizen.
May peace be with you and all the people in France.
I am a Muslim and catagorily condemns the act of Terrors on Friday on the soil of France. My prayers are with all those families that are going through grief and I pray to Allah to protect each and everyone in France from these merciless, ruthless, barbaric terrorists who have hijacked Islam.
Please accept my condolences for the deceased on behalf of Muslims from United States and throughout the world.
The Muslim community of the greater Louisville area strongly condemns the atrocious attacks committed by the cowardly ISIS in Paris. If there is one thing that connects us to those affected by the Paris attacks, it is the condition of our hearts, as ours have been hijacked, beaten, and bruised by the same vicious, unstable, and insane impostors.
We pray for the victims, hoping that they may find themselves surrounded by the most blessed in the highest of heavens, the sort of place where sacrifice is compensated with reward beyond imagination. We pray for their parents, as no mother or father should ever have their child stolen from them. We pray for their spouses, because it is unjust to have a partner, one who is bound for life, lost in the blink of an eye. We pray for their friends, each one having lost a piece of their life’s puzzle.
We pray for the survivors as they learn how to live again, trying to make sense of a thing that makes no sense at all. We mourn the loss of the innocent lives, people who did great things, who could have done more great things, if only given the time on this earth.
We stand with our fellow Louisvillians, regardless of faith. We stand with our fellow Americans, regardless of background. We stand with our fellow Muslims, regardless of creed. We stand with our fellow Parisians, hoping that this tragedy only brings us closer together, as we are your brothers and sisters and we pray you consider us the same.
Well. Is it possible to write an email, such a shallow silly thing, to an entire country by way of it’s Embassy? I’m not sure. I’m not sure if such a thing vwill matter, mean anything in the wake of the horror that tore into your country on Friday - but operating on the hope that perhaps even just a small voice can help in the growing chorus, as well as needing to do something, no matter how possibly trite to convey the shock, horror and desperate hope your country finds both peace and security again after this horrible time, this one stranger will try.
Please know France as a whole, as well as specifically the victims, the families and loved ones of the victims, your police force, your military, your government leaders both large and small all trying to forge ahead in the wake of this cowardly assault on not just Paris or even France itself - but on a place long viewed as the heart of Western Civilization are in my family’s prayers. Prayers for healing, for the hearts and minds of those you need to support and help you in this time, for those in pain to regain strength, for those who lost so much to find some peace.
As well as prayers, there is also a massive amount of praise to be heaped on your citizens during this time. From near awe over your President essentially using this moment in history to do what very few countries have had both the strength AND the resolute courage to demand two powerful nations to put away their difference and stand shoulder to shoulder with you in your fight to right the wrong done to you and yours. To firmly say it to my own president, government and military as well as Russia’s President Putin and corresponding leaders that enough is enough, that there is more that should unite us then should allow us to bicker and weaken the Western world in that bickering. The desire to simply lash out would have been a very human choice - but your President is not saber rattling, he and your country are resolutely, step by step, doing what needs to be done to not just recover but possibly build a united front against a massive threat, the likes of which will change our world for the good. But even more amazing are your citizens. Refusing to bow to under the horror done to them. Already rebuilding, already demanding they return to daily lives before such an evil was done to you all.
I’m no politician. I have no power to offer, no answers to give - but my fervent prayers are with you all. If there is anything this simple American citizen can do, any action that would help - please know just to ask.
To The French People:
I just want to say as an American my family hearts and prayers go out to the French people and those hurt or killed by this act of terrorism. No one deserves this.
Please know that many American’s understand your pain, and morn the loss of so many last Friday. Prayer’s and hope are with all those in France. May justice be serve and peace be found.

We often hear life quotes such as "Everything happens for a reason" to console us from pain, tragedy, misfortune, and loss. We usually never find or confirm the reasons for the negative events that occur in our personal or professional lives, so we maintain our strength and faith while living off hope. My condolences to all of you who have such a tragic loss in their lives. Let us maintain our faith, strength and hope that tragedies such as this one encourages the leaders we depend on to find avenues, and a solution to permanently avoid situations like this one. Globally… we have an entitlement, as humans, to live in a safe environment. Acts of terrorism whether it be personal or societal should be banned and avoided at all costs…. permanently. My heart goes out to all who need love and strength.
