Published on June 14, 2016
An international communication campaign was launched on Friday, June 10 in the United States during an official visit by the minister of foreign affairs and international development.

Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault and Muriel Pénicaud, French ambassador for International Investment and chief executive officer of Business France, officially launched the Creative France campaign in North America at the General Consulate of France in New York.

The aim of the initiative, which will be rolled out in the United States throughout 2016, is to promote France’s strengths in terms of industrial and economic dynamism, its capacity for innovation, and its cultural and artistic vitality. The United States is one of the campaign’s 10 priority countries thanks to its propensity for innovation and creativity. 4,800 American companies currently operate in France, employing more than 460,000 people.

France has chosen to send a strong signal to the international community through this unprecedented promotional campaign. Creative France, the new face of France’s economic dynamism, will therefore continue its campaign of persuasion by reaffirming the importance of its historic partnership with the United States.
