Anton Ludvik, played by renowned actor Yves Montand, is vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Czechoslovakia in The Confession. After being watched and followed, Ludvik is arrested without he or his family being told why and is slowly brainwashed into confessing to crimes he did not commit, including treason. Based on the true story of Artur London and skillfully written by Jorge Semprun, The Confession follows the story of Ludvik and his colleagues as they are manipulated by interrogators and serves as a plea against every form of totalitarianism.
